“Some people bring out the worst in you, others bring out the best, and then there are those remarkably rare, addictive ones who just bring out the most. Of everything. They make you feel so alive that you'd follow them straight into hell, just to keep getting your fix.”
Wowwww. I can't believe that I read this series just now. I won't even read it if not for someone who recommended it. Tho I know that some of the covers of the series can be misleading but hey, "Don't judge a book by its cover."
KMM have created a fascinating world ("See you in Faery!") and have developed characters that grows on you more and more when you read them on and on. You won't believe that a woman like Mac will be more than just a pretty face and a barbie girl, but Dude, she is really fierce!! I love her! And Jericho Barrons is a type of a male character that you always want to read and to be with (like gahd! I just want a piece of him, please!). The series is just wonderful and hot and sexy and fascinating and fun and makes your adrenaline rush and scary (sometimes) and amazing.
Ok, obviously, one of my favorites. I don't even know how to type a review and sum all of the events that happened in this book because everything was so fast - the characters and events build up was even more interesting every minute so surely, impossible for me to put it down. If you think that you will get a clear identity of Barrons here, well, it depends on your definition of clear because for me, he was still a mystery and I love that KMM have left it that way, that the readers will continue to wonder his origins and complete identity - though it was clear that he was from a different world. As the book started from a really stressful situation, that beginning ended in a shocking event and a continuous ride of revelations. Gosh. Really great. Applause applause, KMM!
